Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actress and singer-songwriter from Los Angeles was born in 1983. Thompson is the daughter great-granddaughter of the musician Marc Anthony Thompson, as in addition to actor Bobby Ramos. Thompson was born in Los Angeles and raised there prior to moving to Brooklyn. Thompson is Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descendance. Thompson went to Santa Monica High School where she took part in a variety of theatre productions. Following graduation, she was enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she earned a certificate in the field of cultural anthropology. The role she played was Juliet the character in the play by William Shakespeare "Romeo as well as Juliet" at the Pasadena California production by The Boston Court Theatre. The show's performance was a big hit and was rewarded with an NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Her first appearance on television was in 2005 when she appeared on CBS.
