
Jazmine was raised and born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam, her mother is a former back-up singer at Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five her father was appointed as her curator at Strawberry Mansion Section. Strawberry Mansion Section. Her family eventually moved into this historical structure. In 2005, she graduated from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as a vocal music major. Sullivan sang as a contralto in the choir for children and then sang in the adult choir. At the age of 15 She was signed by Jive Records. She made an entire album there, but the album was never made available for release. Sullivan was later removed from the label. Missy Elliott was the producer on several tracks on their debut album. Among them "Backstabbers" of Timbaland and Timbaland, which Elliott produced for Sullivan, was her top track.
